Tossing Your Cookies, Our next Coffee & Crafts

Standard

Sunday, January 22nd will mark our next Coffee & Crafts get-together as Craft Cafe.  We look forward to seeing everyone and tasting their lovely cookie creations that day.  Extra cookies from the swap will be donated to overseas soldiers so they can experience the joy that resides in a home-baked delight.

On the teaching agenda is Floor Spindle lessons with Ashley.  We have two floor spindles, called Meggies, from Heavenly Handspinning that will be used for teaching.  For new spinners, this is a great way to understand drafting out fiber in the process of making yarn.

We will also have knitting lessons available for those who yearn to work with yarn or those who just need some tips along the way.

Sure to be an excellent time, as usual.

About craftcafedfw

Ashley is an elementary school teacher in the Fort Worth area who has a vision and mission to bring community members together in the name of arts, crafts, and the greater good. I am in the process of building up the name of Craft Cafe as not only a place where crafters meet to enjoy themselves as they work, but as a community outreach movement to improve the lives of others, namely children, in a variety of ways. Although the idea for Craft Cafe is as new as a spring chick, Ashley is deeply committed to the mission of providing enriching opportunities for children and adults through the arts, crafting, education, and the environment.
